This study examined men\u27s attitudes towards women in different occupations within the sex industry, and whether their attitudes were predictive of their indirect endorsement of violence against these women. Ninety-four men from the University of Windsor participated in the study and it was found that their attitudes towards women in the sex industry fall along a continuum of negativity that parallels the risk for violence experienced by these women. That is, men demonstrated the most negative attitudes towards women in street prostitution, less negative attitudes towards women in escorting and the least negative attitudes towards women in exotic dancing.
