Relationship among Physical Fitness, ADL, QOL, and Actual Conditions of Daily Life of the Elderly Persons Concerning the New Physical Fitness Test of Japanese Ministry of Education and Science

An average life expectancy of women is 86.05 years and men is 79.29 years in Japan, and these ages are the first place(in women) and third place(in men) respectively, in the world. The important meaning is not just the figures of a life expectancy, how the elderly persons can live by having the happiness, and being healthy, wealthy mind in their daily life. These concepts are concerned with ADL(Activity of Daily Living), QOL(Quality of Life). Subjects of this study were 134 male and 156 female of the elderly persons who participated in the lecture and physical fitness test that was sponsored by the allied club of the elderly person of the Yamanashi prefecture. There were important relations among physical fitness, ADL and QOL, and these relationships were supported by the physical exercises, eating habits and intellectual behaviors in their daily life.4KJ00007340239原著論文departmental bulletin pape
