Cosmetics are any articles intended to be used by means of rubbing, steaming, sprinkling and spraying 0n or otherwise applied t0 human body. Women as well as men make use of cosmetics for different purposes such as cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness and altering appearance. The aim of this study was to investigate problems caused by use of cosmetics among women of child bearing age. Data was collected using structured and semi structured questionnaires. Questionnaires were distributed randomly to women of child bearing age in Ilala district at Dar es Salaam city. Filling of questionnaires was done under supervision of the data collector.
