Wounds in the skin area occur frequently in small animals. Consequently, the therapeutic validation of healing products in preclinical studies are critical to conducting clinical trials in the target species. This study aimed to perform preclinical studies to determine the healing action of different doses of T. aestivum extracts and Copaifera sp. The tests evaluated the cytotoxicity of phytotherapic and the in vivo healing of skin wounds for a period of 21 days. In the in vitro experiment with T. aestivum it was observed that a dose of 2mg/mL was cytotoxic to the cells and that higher doses showed cell viability.
