Lexical Diversity in the Hutsulian Dialects (East-Carpathian Region) as a Reflection of Former Ethnic Relations (a Page from the History of Polish Dialectology)

J. Janów (1938) introduced a lexical division south-west Ucrainian Hutsulian dialects region into two sections: Eastern - with a large number of Romanian borrowings and Wester n- where the borrowings are more archaic ( Aromanian?). cf.
