This article presents one of the poetic texts which describes the Battle of Chocim of 1621 from Muslum Turkey. The author connected a few literary conventions such as epic, news, and popular. He briefly presented developments, though not all stages of the battle. Paszkowski chose some important moments and only a few heros: king’s son Władysław Waza, Polish commander Chodkiewicz, Baptista Weweli, and Turkish hero - Pasha Karakasz. Paszkowski wrote for contemporary people and built his relations from information, which was brought to him by other authors who wrote prose and memoirs.
