The aim of this article is to make an attempt to estimate the future demand of elderly peuple (60 and more years of age) for health resort treatment. There are presented five variants of projections till the year 2000 differing according to the accepted detaile assumptions. All the proposed projections of demand for health-resort treatment point at a considerable growth of this demand in the future - on the average of over 10 per cent every five years. The rate of growth in the number of treated men will be higher than that of women. It can be also expected w ith in the next 15 years that the number of rural in habitants going to health resorts will be growing much faster than the number of urban inhabitants.
