This paper attempts to provide the first comprehensive historical and descriptive bibliography on this text. It is divided into two parts. The first is a description of the West Saxon Gospels based upon the model used in the Pittsburgh Series of Bibliography. In addition, Part One contains a series of notes on the particular irregularities and glosses found in this copy, as well as a synthesis of prior research.
