The focal point of this thesis is the use of a proposed pseudo-Quadrature Mirror Filter subband based adaptive acoustic canceller functioning in conjunction with a line echo canceller. A performance evaluation of eight equal bandwidth subband acoustic adaptive filters comprising sixty four taps per subband is tested in simulation using high level language (C and Matlab) and validated in real-time using a floating point Digital Signal Processor, the TMS320C30.
