The status of New Russian vocabulary in lexicographic works

It is a review article of the book by Margarita Nadel-Czerwińska entitled The new lexis in Russian explanatory dictionaries of the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, which was published by Silesian University Publishers in 2006 (Katowice, 172 pages). Within the literature concerning this subject the monograph is the first systematic description of the status of the new lexis based on vast and representative lexicographic material. It is characterized not only by its great practical value but also by being a valuable piece of research, enriching the knowledge about different, meaningful lexicographical phenomena
