The following authors were selected for analysis: Betty Friedan, Jean Bethke Elshtain, Gloria Steinem, and Simone de Beauvoir, who represent Western thought; Natalia Kobrynska, Olha Kobylianska, Lesia Ukrainka, Solomea Pavlychko, and the authors of Through Women’s Eves, who represent Ukrainian intellectual tradition.
