In this fourth report, the transverse free vibrations of a propped cantilever which is a uniform bar with one end clamped, other end simply supported have been investigated by the use of the analytical technique mentioned in the previous work. Following the three previous reports, also here the modified expressions of the frequency equations and mode shapes different from their classical expressions for the propped cantilever have been obtained by the above mentioned technique
