The present study analyses the evolution of university degree curricula as regards the field of Environmental Technology at the Industrial Engineering Schools at the University of Oviedo (Spain). This university currently offers two Industrial Engineering degree curricula: Technical Industrial Engineering (3-year degree or "Diplomatura") and Industrial Engineering (5-year degree or "Licenciatura"). Students who obtain a degree in Technical Industrial Engineering have the possibility of directly entering the Industrial Engineering degree curriculum in the fourth year.
