The relationship between early maladaptive schemas, childhood traumatic experience and symptoms of depression in a clinical sample of patients diagnosed with depression and in a non-clinical sample.

Pētījuma mērķis bija izpētīt kādas saistības pastāv starp depresijas simptomu izteiktību, bērnībā pārciesto nelabvēlīgas pieredzi un agrīnajām neadaptīvām shēmām un noskaidrot, vai bērnības nelabvēlīgas pieredzes rādītāji paredz agrīno neadaptīvu shēmu radītājus un, savukārt, vai agrīno neadaptīvo shēmu rādītāji paredz depresijas simptomu izteiktību personām ar diagnosticētu depresiju un psihiski veselām personām. Pētījumā piedalījās 82 respondenti (visas sievietes), no kuriem 30 respondenti bija pacienti ar diagnosticēto depresiju un 52 psihiski veselas personas. Pētījumā tika izmantotas trīs aptaujas: Janga shēmu aptauja, Traumatisko pagātnes notikumu aptauja un Beka depresijas izpētes aptauja. Abās izlasēs pastāv saistības starp atsevišķām agrīnajām neadaptīvajām shēmām, bērnības nelabvēlīgas pieredzes veidiem un depresijas simptomiem, kā arī atsevišķi bērnības nelabvēlīgas pieredzes veidi paredz atsevišķu agrīno neadaptīvo shēmu rādītājus un atsevišķu agrīno neadaptīvo shēmu rādītāji paredz depresijas simptomu izteiktību.The aim of the study was to investigate the relationships between early maladaptive schemas, traumatic childhood events and depression symptoms and to examine whether traumatic childhood events predict early maladaptive schemas and, in turn, whether early maladaptive schemas predict depression symptoms in a clinical and non-clinical sample. Participants: 82 persons (all women), of whom 30 persons are clinically depressed patients and 50 persons are psychologically healthy. Questionnaires: Young Schema Questionnaire, Traumatic Antecedents Questionnaire un Beck Depression Inventory. Results: some of traumatic childhood events significally correlated to early maladaptive schemas predicting them and some of early maladaptive schemas significally correlated to depresssion symptoms predicting them in both samples
