Internet usage in mobile devices and it's influence on interpersonal communication among High schoolers in Dobele district

Bakalaura darba “Vidusskolas vecuma jauniešu interneta lietojums mobilajās ierīcēs un tā ietekme uz interpersonālo komunikāciju Dobeles novadā” mērķis ir noskaidrot kā izmainās jauniešu komunikācija ikdienā, izmantojot mobilo ierīču sniegtās iespējas. Teorētiskā daļa sastāv no mobilo tehnoloģiju attīstības teorijas, jauno tehnoloģiju lietojuma teorijas, interneta attīstību un tā lietošanu mobilajās ierīcēs, kā arī izklāsta par mobilo tehnoloģiju ietekmi uz jauniešu interpersonālo komunikāciju. Teorijas ietvarā tika apskatīts arī pētījums “Net children go mobile” par bērnu un pusaudžu jauno komunikācijas tehnoloģiju lietošanu, paradumiem un riskiem. Pētījuma veikšanai tika izmantotas kvalitatīvā pētniecības metode - dziļās intervijas un kvantitatīvā pētniecības metode- anketēšana. No pētījuma iegūtajiem rezultātiem tika secināts, ka lielākajai daļai jauniešu ir pieejams internets mobilajās ierīcēs un tas arī aktīvi tiek lietots. Visbiežāk mobilo ierīču interneta lietošanas mērķi ir sociālo tīklu izmantošana, saziņa un informācijas meklēšana. Galvenie motīvi- ir vajadzība izklaidēties, radoši izpausties un nebūt piesaistītam noteiktai vietai. Pētījuma iegūtie rezultāti liecina, ka mobilo ierīču interneta pieejamība sniedz jauniešiem jaunas iespējas: ātra un viegla saziņa, biežāka un daudzveidīgāka komunikācija.The aim of this research paper "Internet usage in mobile devices and it’s influence on interpersonal communication among High schoolers in Dobele district” is to find out the change in everyday communication that has been caused by the provided opportunities of communication using mobile devices. The theoretic part of the paper consists of mobile technology development theory, new technology usage theory, internet development and its usage in mobile devices, as well an overview of influence of mobile devices in interpersonal communication. At the end of theory we analyze "Net children go mobile" that discusses the children and teenager usage of internet in mobile devices. For this research author used both quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (in depth interviews) research methods. From the results obtained conclusions were made that most of the surveyed teens had access of mobile internet and they used it regularly. Most often the aim of internet usage in mobile devices is for social networking, communication and the search for information. The main motives are the need for fun activities, creativity, the needs to feel mobile. The obtained results show that internet availability in mobile devices provides teenagers with new possibilities: faster and easier communication as well as communication that is more varied and more often used
