On basis of the statistics of questionnaires in Fuzhou, this report reveals the characteristics of social interaction and social participation. It was found that the social interaction and trust was based on acquaintances, and social trust among rural dwellers was better than that among city residents. Various religious organizations are active in Fuzhou and they are more attractive for people than such newly emerged organizations as Committee of Autonomous Citizens
