Darbs ir veltīts AB5 tipa metālu sakausējumu un to hidrīdu īpašību pētījumiem pie paaugstinātām temperatūrām. Pētot metālhidrīdus ar termogravimetrijas metodi, tika konstatēts, ka pēc ūdeņraža desorbcijas 80-160 oC temperatūru intervālā, virs 200 oC novērojams izteikts masas pieaugums, pat ja paraugs tiek apskalots ar argona gāzi. Darba mērķis ir noteikt, kādas pārvērtības metālu sakausējumos izsauc novēroto masas pieaugumu. Pētījumu objekti bija sekojoši: LaNi5 lielgraudains un smalkgraudains paraugs, LaNi5 metālhidrīds, smalkgraudains Ni pulveris, metālu sakausējums uz lantāna-niķeļa bāzes „7-10” smalkgraudaina pulvera veidā un šī sakausējuma metālhidrīds.
