Pētījumā salīdzināts sūnu sugu sastāvs uz dažādiem atmirušās koksnes veidiem (kritalām, stumbeņiem, sausokņiem), kā arī analizēta substrāta parametru (sadalīšanās pakāpes, diametra, garuma) ietekme uz sūnu sugu daudzveidību. Kopumā uz visiem atmirušās koksnes veidiem konstatētas 46 sūnu sugas (33 lapu un 13 aknu sūnas). Konstatētas atšķirības sūnu sugu sastāvā starp atmirušo stāvošo koksni (stumbeņiem un sausokņiem) un kritalām.
