Šī maģistra darba galvenais mērķis ir īpaša termiski jutīga magnētiskā šķidruma termomagnētiskās konvekcijas izpēte ar skaitliskām metodēm. Šķidrums ir pētīts noslēgtajā vienas fāzes termosifona tipa cilindriskā ģeometrijā ar konstantām temperatūrām uz apakšējo un augšējo galiem un adiabātiskiem robežnosacījumiem uz sānu sienas. Termomagnētiskā konvekcija tiek ģenerēta ar nehomogēnu pastāvīgu magnētisko lauku ar spoli, kura ir koaksiāli iegremdēta šķidrumā. Tika atrasts, ka konvektīvas siltumpārneses efektivitāte šādā iekārtā ar magnētisko lauku aplūkotājā parametru diapazonā var tikt paaugstināta līdz pat 7 reizēm.
