GNSS Data Post-processing using Open Source Software

Globālo navigācijas satelītu sistēmu (GNSS) izmantošana, augstas precizitātes mērījumos, lielā mērā, ir tikai specializētu mērniecības uzņēmumu privilēģija. Galvenais kavēklis augstas precizitātes GNSS izmantošanai plašākā mērogā ir instrumentu un mērījumu apstrādes programmatūras augstās izmaksas. Vienā no šīm pozīcijām potenciāls izmaksu samazinājumam jau ir pieejams, tās ir datu apstrādes programmas. Šī bakalaura darba ietvaros autors pētījis GNSS mērījumu datu apstrādes iespējas, izmantojot atvērtā koda programmatūru. Programmās tika apstrādāti lauka darbos iegūti dati un tās tika salīdzinātas ar analogu maksas programmatūru, iegūstot informāciju gan par to precizitāti, gan arī to funkcionalitāti. Darba rezultāti sniedz noderīgu informāciju par pašlaik pieejamajām atvērtā koda GNSS mērījumu apstrādes programmām un to iespējām.Global navigation satellite system (GNSS) usage in high accuracy surveys, has mostly been a privilage of specialised land survey companies. The biggest obstacle in making these satellite systems a more influencial part of scientific research is the immense cost of the instruments and the post - processing software. There is a potential to cut down costs in at least one of these positions - the post - processing software. In this research author has studied the aspects of using open source software in GNSS data post - processing. All of the processed data has been previosly collected by the author in the field. To determine the open source software’s ability to be used in high accuracy surveys, it was compared to analogous proffesional post - procesing software. The result of this research gives a useful guide to the abilities and the potential accuracy of these programs
