Šī Bakalaura darba galvenais mērķis ir izanalizēt postkolonialitātes stāstījuma metodes un tēmas, kā arī apsriest postkolonialitātes attēlojumu (piem., laika un telpas, varoņu un tēlu stāstījumā) Maikla Ondātšī romānā „Angļu pacients”. Bakalaura darbā uzmanība tika vērsta uz vēstures un idenitātes, vēstures un atmiņas, kara un varas izpēti, kā arī tika īstenots postkoliniālo jēdzienu un nozīmju, un postkoloniālo literatūras teoriju un postkoloniālo lietaratūru pētījums, kā arī romāna „Angļu pacients” analīze.
