Catalysis by gold has emerged since the pioneering discovery that supported gold catalysts could be active for CO oxidation even below room temperature. But the sintering of nano-gold at high temperatures (e.g. ≥ 400 oC) constrained their practical application. Therefore, it is challenging to explore gold catalyst with highly sinter-resistant performance meanwhile keep their high activity.
