The taxuyunnanine C (Tc) was greatly enhanced when Taxus chinensis cell cultures were elicited by methyl jasmonate or 2,3-dihydroxypropyl jasmonate (DHPJA), a newly synthesized jasmonate analog in combination with in situ absorption. Along with Tc production, two new taxoids were produced and purified. On the basis of LC–MS and NMR spectral data, the chemical structures of the two taxoids are found to be 2,14-deacetyltaxuyunnanine C and 2-deacetyltaxuyunnanine C. This is the first report of plant cell culture production of these two taxoids
