A total of 50 consecutive pregnant ladies with cardiac symptoms who were admitted to Khartoum Teaching Hospital (KTH) in the period from January 2004 to July 2004 were studied. The data were collected through a questionnaire containing detailed medical history thorough physical examination and specific laboratory investigations. The aim of the study is to determine the different patterns of cardiac diseases among pregnant Sudanese ladies and their outcome.
