A LC with full scan MSn method was developed in order to investigate the in vivo absorption and biotransformation of polymethoxylated flavones (PMFs) by analysis of plasma samples from rats after ingestion of Fructus aurantii extract. Four parent compounds and six metabolites with intact flavonoid structures were tentatively identified.
