This study has been done at Al-nasr tannery to determine the pollution in the waste water drained from the tannery. Three samples from each stage have been taken for analysis to determine the Bio–oxygen and chemo–oxygen demand solid materials, solvent materials chromium three and pH. The result showed that Bio–oxygen, chemo–oxygen, total Dissolved and total suspended solids, chromium three and pH are higher than the permissible. The study concluded that the waste water coming from the tannery is highly polluted and some measures are recommended to decrease the pollution. The presence of Chromium in the waste water was 23mg/L which is very hig
