The treatments consisted of two rates of 2 5 FYM (0 and 2.5 ton ha-1 ) and five levels of phosphorus (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg P O ha-1). Triple 2 5 superphosphate (48% P O ) was used as a source of phosphorus in the experiment. The experiment was laid out in Split-plot design with four replicates.
