Harmonization of Laws and Gender and Children’s Rights in Sudan

It will also examines other areas with regard to harmonization including the level of legal protection pertaining to age of maturity, age or criminal responsibility. In this respect, particular focus will be given to Islamic laws and to what extent they are in harmony with international human rights law related to children. One of the components of the research will further enquire into gender and child rights relating to the three sub-thematic areas namely early marriage, economic and sexual exploitation, and the deprivation of inheritance rights
