Page(s): 2 (1), 1- 14, 12 Ref.Four lablab bean (Lablab purpureus) cultivars, namely Brazilian, Highworth, Local and Rongai, were evaluated for two consecutive seasons under irrigated Gezira environment. Highworth and Rongai gave the best yields of both forage and grain, and proved to be well adapted. Grain: leaf ratio was highest for Highworth followed by Rongai. The local cultivar produced the lowest yield and grain: leaf ratio. The importance of lablab bean as a legume in the framing system is discussed.Khartoum University Pres
