Se evaluaron las repercusiones del nivel de reservas maternales al inicio de gestación sobre los resultados productivos en lactación en ovejas de carne. Se utilizaron 49 ovejas multíparas gestantes simples de raza Churra Tensina, divididas en 3 categorías según su condición corporal (CC) en el día 30 de gestación (CC3, 3,25-3,5, n=18). Todos los grupos de ovejas ganaron peso y CC en los 4 primeros meses de gestación, aunque dicha mejora fue estadísticamente superior en las ovejas con nota de CC<3 y 3 en el día 30 de gestación. Por el contrario, el último mes de gestación (después de la bajada de puerto), se registró una movilización de reservas corporales en todos/ os grupos, aunque el peso siguió incrementando.
