Abstract: The characteristics of an impact kinetic influence of the spacecraft upon an asteroid are investigated in the paper for a problem of the asteroid hazard mitigation for the Earth. The global analysis of the asteroid deflection from the Earth by the spacecraft influence is performed depending on the times of the departure from the Earth and the arrival to the asteroid. The estimations of a necessary start mass for the spacecraft are received. The numerical results are given for the Toutatis asteroid which flew close to the Earth in December, 1992. Calculations are carried out for the perfectly inelastic, perfectly elastic and explosive models of the spacecraft and asteroid impact.Note: Research direction:Theoret...
