Abstract: The basic results which are given here, were obtained during the last years in the investigation of stationary motions of a rigid body suspended to the motionless base on a string (or on a rod). The principals of the mechanical systems classification based on the number and properties of possible stationary regimes such as permanent rotations and regular precessions are also discussed.
