Abstract: The phenomenon of a body inelastic collision with a rough surface is investigated. The dependence of the body character of motion during the impact from position of the point of collision with respect the body center of mass, the body moment of inertia and velocity of the point of collision (or the body center of mass velocity and its angular velocity) is obtained. A similar geometrical interpretation is presented. These results may be used for students teach in the theory mechanics.Note: Research direction:Theoretical and applied problems of mechanic
