Your methodic option, localized in the bibliographic research and documental analyze, thought the access to the official documental sources and in a focalized literature in the thematic in question, in the circuit of governmental politic education of that time. What is interesting is your relation with the scenery what is behind of everything, specially, the Brazilian states reform, during the 90s, with the influence of new liberal ideologies, with reflexes in education. With your conclusion, it was possible to infer by presence of this modality of formation, than the Specialization Lato Sensu History of Amazon, realized by the Amazons University UNAMA, in the period 2003/2004, is illustrative, but in the fragmental and indicial form, characterizing a inconsistent politic, fragile and tenuous, across of a fast process, created in a rational and instrumental boarding, with distinction in the reference of Competences Pedagogies. But, separated of a project more articulated in a high school universe, seeing in a way critical for the educational practice, putting that the education is a permanent territory of fight of projects and interests.Este trabalho aborda a formação docente, através da modalidade continuada voltada aos professores da educação básica, no Ensino Médio, no Estado do Pará, estabelecida pela política governamental, durante o período cognominado de Novo Pará (1995-2006). Interrogando a configuração que assumiu a política de formação continuada implementada pelos governos do Pará e os pressupostos que orientaram a formulação da sua política de formação, seu objetivo é compreender as tipologias de formação continuada de professores no Brasil, convergindo para as suas especificidades no Estado do Pará em face das medidas adotadas por seus governantes, no período histórico de 1995-2006, identificando as características assumidas pela política de formação continuada dirigida aos professores da Educação Básica do Pará, bem como os seus efeitos na atividade docente. A sua opção metodológica referenciou-se na pesquisa bibliográfica e análise documental, mediante o acesso às fontes documentais oficiais (emanadas, principalmente, pela Secretaria Executiva de Educação/SEDUC-PA) e numa literatura focada na temática em questão, no âmbito da política governamental educacional da época. Relevantemente, cabe acentuar a sua relação com o cenário contextual subjacente, especialmente, a Reforma do Estado brasileiro, durante a década de 1990, sob a influência da ideologia neoliberal, com reflexos na educação, consoante o arcabouço jurídico-pedagógico, onde a LDB 9.394/96 tem papel basilar. Como sua conclusão, foi possível inferir pela presença dessa modalidade de formação, do que a Especialização Lato Sensu História da Amazônia, realizada pela Universidade da Amazônia UNAMA, no período 2003/2004, é ilustrativa, no entanto, de forma fragmentária e indicial, caracterizando uma política inconsistente, frágil e tênue, através de um processo aligeirado, fundado na abordagem racional e instrumental, com ênfase na referência da Pedagogia das Competências. Mas apartado enquanto concepção advogada neste trabalho - de um projeto mais articulado com o universo escolar em vista de uma prática educacional crítica, autônoma e implicada com a transformação, posto que a educação é um território permanente de disputa de projetos e interesses
