Análise dos fatores responsáveis pela alta salinidade do aqüífero fissural da microbacia do Riacho do Feijão - Pedro Avelino/RN

A pesquisa tem como objetivo principal analisar os componentes que influenciam na salinidade dos aqüíferos fissurais dentro de uma avaliação físico-químico da água, levando em consideração as intervenções físicas do ambiente. Utilizou-se técnicas de interpretação de imagem de satélite Landsat -1999 e delimitação da microbacia através da carta topográfica de Lajes SUDENE. Identificou-se águas do tipo NaCl com Ca++ e Mg++ em concentrações secundárias. Os poços analisados (15), apresentaram uma salinidade média de 5.062 mg/L de STD e somente um poço fornece água potável com 319 mg/L de STD. A recarga do aqüífero se realiza pela infiltração nas fraturas abertas do ortognaisse migmatizado. O tipo e direções das fraturas não controlam a concentração de STD. Não existe relação entre STD e vazão. A qualidade do poço de baixa salinidade é idêntica as águas superficiais (açude e aqüífero aluvionar). Os estudos dos processos de intemperismo evidenciaram que nas transformações da rocha em solo, o Ca++ e Na+ são levados para as águas superficiais. O tratamento dos dados químico mostrou que os teores de Na+, Ca++, Mg++ e Cl-são controlados pelo processo de evaporação, a partir de uma água única que teria as qualidades das águas superficiais ou do poço de baixa salinidade. Já os teores de HCO3 são controlados pela precipitação da dolomita. A salinidade deste aqüífero seria conseqüência da alta taxa de evaporação dos açudes construídos em regiões de topografia plana. Os sais precipitados nos fundos argilosos dos açudes secos são levados para o aqüífero nas primeiras chuvas. A pesquisa sugere algumas recomendações para a utilização e aproveitamento da água salinizada em piscicultura, carcinicultura, cultivo da erva-sal (Atriplex sp), entre outra
