The purpose of this two-year investigation is to field test innovative technologies for coating and surface removal on concrete floors and compare the compiled data to baseline technologies, thereby ensuring that the best and most cost-effective options are developed and subsequently used during the decontamination and decommissioning (D and D) of U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Management (DOE-EM) sites. Comprehensive and comparable data will be collected in the areas of health and safety, operations, and secondary waste management.
