Progress on the theory of second order closure in turbulence models of various types requires knowledge of the transport equations for various turbulence correlations. This report documents a procedure that provides such equations for a wide variety of turbulence averages for compressible flows of a multicomponent fluid. Generalizing some work by Germano for incompressible flows, we introduce an appropriate extension of his generalized second order correlations and use a generalized mass-weighted averaging procedure to derive transport equations for the correlations.
