Active well coincidence counter assays have been performed on uranium metal highly enriched in {sup 235}U. The data obtained in the present program, together with highly enriched uranium (HEU) metal data obtained in other programs, have been analyzed using two approaches, the standard approach and an alternative approach developed at BNL. Analysis of the data with the standard approach revealed that the form of the relationship between the measured reals and the {sup 235}U mass varied, being sometimes linear and sometimes a second-order polynomial.
