A pair of bushes is visible in the foreground beside the dormitory; parked bicycles and other flowering bushes are visible in the background near an entrance to the building. On the back of the photograph, a stamp in blue ink reads: "Taylor Publishing Co., Job Number 07702, Pict. No. 2, Page No. 30, NORTH TEXAS STATE COLLEGE, DENTON, TEXAS". There is an identical stamp in blue ink with the same text, but it does not include the picture number or page number. Handwritten notes on the back of the photograph read "West Hall Dormitory" and "October 1960"
