Under various conditions, we studied on the viscosity change of actomyosin solution, extractetd from small smooth adductor muscle of pecten (Yessensis Jay), and obtained the following results. 1) It is sure that this AM solution shows slow but remarkable increase of viscosity by warming, though this phenomenon disappears when it is purified. 2) This viscosity-increase occurs only when the warming temperature is higher than at 20℃. 3) This solution shows sudden and marked rise of viscosity by cooling, and decreases its value reversibly by warming again.
