The author's aim in these investigations is to establish the differential diagnosis of the non-specific reaction in carrying out the polarographic cancer reaction. Materials from the healthy sera and the sera from patients with cancer and inflammation, fractionated by varying concentration of methanol, were studied and compared polarographically, applying the theoretical principle of Knuchel's methanol fractionation.
