Straturi etimologice reflectate în hidronimia româneasca

Lucrarea de fata isia propune sa ilustreze pe baza materialului hidronimic contactele lingvistice pe care românii le-au avut cu diversele populatii, începând din cele mai vechi timpuri si pâna în prezent. Înfatisarea si elementele constitutive ale hidronimelor dovedesc existenta mai multor niveluri: autohton (traco-dac), mostenit din latina, slav, de alte origini, creatii interne. În comparatie cu situatia din celelalte limbi romanice – franceza, spaniola, italiana –, nu am remarcat deosebiri majore, ceea ce dovedeste statornicia limbii române într-un areal izolat de restul romanitatiii. Pastrarea unor nume de râuri din Antichitate pâna astazi constituie unul din cele mai puternice argumente în demonstrarea continuitatii dacoromânilor pe teritoriul vechii Dacii. Cuvinte-cheie: hidronimie româneasca; hidronime majore; hidronime minore; etimologie; istoria limbii.This paper aims at illustrating with hydronymic material the language contacts that the Romanians have had with various peoples since olden days until today. The aspect and constitutive elements of hydronyms reveal the existence of several levels of influences: autochthonous (Thraco-Dacian), Latin inheritance, Slavic, other origins and internal creations. In comparison with the situation of hydronymy in other Romance languages – French, Spanish and Italian –, no major differences could be noted. This proves the stability of the Romanian language in an area isolated from the rest of the Romance world. The preservation of river names from Antiquity until today is one of the most solid arguments in demonstrating the continuity of the Daco-Romanians on the territory of ancient Dacia.
