The corpse and the body in classical Hollowood cinema. The Body Snatcher (Val Lewton / Robert Wise, 1945)

The classical Hollywood cinema had a strange relationship with the representation of the body in pain. Violence, death and, especially, the corops is basically avoided. Nevertheless, it is by no means absent. A rhetoric of elipsis and limits is easy to analyze in the hrror film.
