The Government Performance and Results Act of 1993 (107 Stat. 285), referred to alternatively as GPRA or the Results Act, seeks to encourage greater efficiency, effectiveness and accountability in federal spending by requiring agencies to develop strategic plans and performance measures, and to prepare annual performance plans and reports.
