Ce travail s'inscrit dans un mouvement récent, les Systèmes Multi-Agents, dont l'un des buts est de montrer que des systèmes intelligents complexes peuvent être élaborés à partir d'éléments simples en interaction. L'objectif de cette thèse est de mettre en oeuvre ce principe de conception à un cadre applicatif réel. En ce qui concerne le cadre applicatif, nous avons choisi de traiter le problème de la localisation et du suivi d'une population de robots mobiles à partir de percepts fournis par des capteurs dont la nature et le nombre ne sont pas définis.
