Ectomycorrhizal (ECM) fungi can play an important role on forest ecosystems. It is crucial to understand and explore the capacity of ECM fungi to improve plant development and successful establishment on disturbed soils. The main objective of the work described in this thesis was to explore the potential of ECM fungi found to persist in a disturbed area to tolerate and/or degrade fluorinated organic compounds, and also to assess the tolerance and symbiotic efficiency of ECM fungi - Pine on contaminated soils.
