The main purpose of this article is to present, on the one hand, the Augustinian conception of time and eternity, seeking to explore first of all, the most representative philosophical perspectives of ancient authors. Taking the Augustinian theory of time as a starting point, we see that it does not consist only of a subjective perspective of time, but that it is in itself both subjective and objective. We see also how the Aristotelian perspective is present too, and underlies the Augustinian reading of time, which helps to clarify the Augustinian perspective.
