The rates of absorption and desorption of CO2 gas in solution were investigated by blowing CO2 gas and N2 gas into various aqueous blends of alkalis and amines through an upward glass nozzle. It was found that the monoethanolamine(MEA) solution or the mixed solution of alkaline metal salt and MEA increased the absorption rate of CO2 gas, and that the mixed solution of alkaline metal salt and triethanolamine(TEA) increased the desorption rate of CO2 gas. Therefore, it is expected that the use of the aqueous blends of MEA and TEA solution would increase the absorption rate and the desorption rate of CO2 gas
