The authors have carried out the field measurement of outdoor thermal environment in summer in order to collect the measured data of outdoor thermal environment for evaluating the prediction accuracy of a method developed by the authors to assess the outdoor climate with the aid of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). Spatial distributions of wind velocity, temperature, humidity and radiation are measured within courtyard canyon space around apartment complex located in Tokyo. The values of physical parameters which affect outdoor thermal environment, such as albedo, convective heat transfer. moisture availability, leaf area density and so on, are estimated from the results of this measurement.
