There are many old traditional wooden frame structures that were specified as cultural heritage or shall be specified as Japanese important buildings near future. But there are many buildings that do not have good performance against seismic action. Purpose of the investigation is to develop the earthquake proof Japanese SHOJI、and we show the new construction method and the experimental results of it which is constituted with the wooden frame and Mino Japanese paper. The wooden frame is constructed with Japanese cedar, and they are laminated with double rails and thin steel plate. Experimental result shows the good performance against the lateral shear force
